Bertram Team Penning Club was the brain child of Jim Turner, who, along with James Johanson and Alan Champlin had the first BTPC penning at Mr. Cattle were borrowed from friends and neighbors, numbers were designed out of old table cloths and Mr. Turner worked the gate at the first ever BTPC penning. They all had such a good time, they decided to form BTPC in order for families to have a place to
join together and enjoy the sport of team penning. Unfortunately the club had to move from Bertram, Tx and now hold practices and events at Bar 17 Arena, just north of Lampasas, Tx. The club voted to change their name in 2023 to Central Texas Team Penning Association. CTTPA is focused on sportsmanship, fellowship and neighborliness. If you are looking for a place to bring your family, young and old, and have a good time learning the sport, chasing cows and cheering for your friends, (and they cheer you on too) this is the place for you.
