🏆 Congratulations to J.W. Tucker — CPRA Pickup Man of the Year! 🏆

The Lampasas County Rodeo Association is proud to congratulate J.W. Tucker on being named the CPRA Pickup Man of the Year for the sixth time!

J.W. is part of the outstanding Diamond Cross Rodeo crew, our stock contractor and an important part of the Lampasas County Rodeo. Year after year, we have had the privilege of watching J.W. bring exceptional horsemanship, professionalism, and dedication to our arena.

Being selected for this honor six times by the cowboys he works alongside is an incredible accomplishment and speaks to the trust and respect he has earned throughout the rodeo community.

We are proud to have J.W. and the Diamond Cross Rodeo crew as part of our rodeo family and congratulate him on another well-deserved honor.

Congratulations, J.W.! We look forward to having you back in Lampasas!

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. 🇺🇸

In rodeo, we know the meaning of grit, courage, and sacrifice and today we remember the heroes who showed all three in service to our nation.

Some thank yous carry a little more weight—and this is one of them.

We want to recognize Diamond Cross Rodeo Company, who has been part of this rodeo for over 10 years.

Even though this is only our second year fully working together under the rodeo association, the relationship, trust, and foundation that’s been built over time means everything to us.

What a lot of people don’t see is the time and effort that goes in long before rodeo week ever gets here. The phone calls, the planning, the conversations behind the scenes—all to make sure that when the gates open, everything is set for a great rodeo.

And that’s exactly what y’all help make happen.

From the quality of the stock to the guidance and support along the way, you don’t just show up—you’re invested in making this rodeo the best it can be.

That kind of partnership is rare, and it’s something we are truly grateful for.

We want to recognize Open Gate Cowboy Church for the incredible role you played in this year’s Riata Roundup Rodeo.

From the prayers shared before the rodeo each night—you could feel the meaning behind every word. It set the tone for something bigger than just an event.

To the two who sang the National Anthem so beautifully… it was one of those moments that makes you stop, take your hat off, and truly appreciate where you are.

And then there’s everything else…
