Two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela within a minute of each other, causing widespread devastation and forcing residents into the streets as rescue teams search for survivors. Among the strongest in the country’s history, they have claimed dozens of lives, injured hundreds, and left many without homes, power, or basic necessities. A nationwide state of emergency underscores the unfolding crisis.

The Jewish community is sheltering those displaced, while the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and The Jewish Agency for Israel are delivering emergency supplies and coordinating support.
