BIG news for Polk Co FL Toys for Tots! 🎁
🎁Polk County Toys for Tots Is Growing — And We Need Your Help! 🇺🇸
Most people know Marine Corps Toys for Tots for our Christmas program, but what many do not realize is that the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation supports children and families all year long. That is why Toys for Tots has proudly known as a “Year-Round Force for Good.”
In addition to our holiday toy distribution program, Toys for Tots also supports:
📚 The Toys for Tots Literacy Program
🏡 Foster Care initiatives
🪶 Native American outreach programs
❤️ And other year-round efforts focused on helping children in need
Here in Polk County, we are proud to say that our local Toys for Tots campaign has grown tremendously. We have now reached a point where we can actively support these year-round initiatives throughout our community — but to continue growing, we need dedicated volunteers willing to step up and serve.
We are currently looking for volunteers interested in serving on committees and leadership teams in the following areas:
🎉 Events Committee
Help organize community events, recruit participants, and coordinate outreach opportunities throughout Polk County.
🙋 Volunteer Recruitment & Coordination
We are looking for someone who can help recruit volunteers, manage scheduling, and coordinate where volunteers are needed — whether at our warehouse, events, or distributions.
📦 Warehouse Shoppers & Stockers
Our holiday season operations run approximately from September 30 through January 7, and we need volunteers to help organize, stock, sort, and prepare toys for distribution to local children and families.
🚚 Driver Coordinator
We need an organized volunteer with basic computer skills to help coordinate and manage our volunteer driver system throughout Polk County. This role is critical in helping us schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently across such a large county.
🚛 Volunteer Drivers
Polk County covers a large area, and we rely heavily on volunteer drivers to help pick up toy donations and deliver boxes throughout the community during the holiday season.
Every volunteer makes a difference. Whether you can give a few hours a week or help lead one of our growing programs, your support helps us continue bringing hope, joy, and assistance to children throughout Polk County.
