The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is a unifying force, bringing together local women’s clubs, with members dedicated to strengthening their communities and enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. With more than 60,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than 20 countries, GFWC members are community leaders who work locally to create global change by advocating for women, children, and families on issues such as domestic violence and sexual assault, food insecurity/hunger, and promoting healthy lifestyles. The GFWC GFWC Lake Placid Junior Woman's Club held their end-of-the-year donation meeting. Monetary donations were made to many local charitable organizations, including: Manna Ministries, One Hope United, Heartland For Children, Settlers Cemetery Project, Peace, River Domestic Shelter, and, Pawsitive Effects (a local pet rescue organization).

Fired Up for Firefighter's Calendar Contest! 👩‍🚒🔥

Looking for a fun way to get involved with the new President’s Project, Fired Up For Firefighters? Good news, there is now a Firefighter’s Calendar Contest! Each club is encouraged to submit a photo of or with their local community firefighters to their District or Junior District Director by mid-July. The Director will then submit the district's best photo to President’s Project Chair Georgia Browning by August 1st.

Important Dates:

Take photos now through Mid-July, submit by the 17th to allow time for the selection process by DD or JDD, who will then submit to the state by August 1st.
