The 2026 Lake Placid Community Clean-Up will take place Saturday, May 9.
Join us at the Lake Placid Village Beach House 9 am - 11 am for day -of registration, street assignments, and bags!
And don't forget about the LP Clean-Up Day Student Poster Contest - enter by April 24th for a chance to win!
✨Eligibility: The contest is open to any student or homeschooler residing in the Town of North Elba or the Lake Placid School District.
✨Submission Guidelines:
1. Artwork must be original and created by the student.
2. Digital artwork, AI-generated, and traced images will not not judged.
3. Artwork must reflect the theme of the community clean-up and environmental care (e.g., picking up litter, recycling, nature preservation).
4. Any traditional medium is allowed (crayons, colored pencils, markers, or paints).
5. Use the template provided - see attached image.
✨How to Enter:
Submit posters by April 24th by returning them to your homeroom teacher or dropping them off at the Town Clerk's Office at the North Elba Town Hall (2693 Main Street, Lake Placid).

Little Kids (Kindergarten - Grade 5):
🥇First Place: $20 gift card to The Bookstore Plus and will be featured in event advertising!
🥈Second Place: Chocolate from The Candy Man
🥉Third Place: Free ice cream cone from Stewart's
Big Kids (Grade 6 - 12):

✨Announcement & Display:
Winners will be announced on April 27th on the LP Community Clean-Up page. Selected artwork may be displayed or featured on social media.
✨Please note - by entering, participants are giving permission for their artwork to be shared publicly. Artwork will not be returned unless arranged in advance.
