Congratulations to Jacob Mayberry, Troop 10's newest Eagle Scout. Jacob achieved the rank of Eagle on August 30, 2024. Jacob's Eagle Scout project was replacing a retaining wall at the American Legion Post 326 with the help of Ryan Tummons and Lawn & Order Property Service. Congratulations Jacob!

Congratulations to Andrew, one of Troop 10's own!

Congratulations Andrew Scanio on his admission into the NYSSMA Conference All-State mixed chorus! This is a HUGE honor for both Andrew and our school district. He will be in a chorus of 200+ students, comprised of students from all over New York State. To be invited to attend, students have to receive a near-perfect score on the highest NYSSMA solo level. He will be traveling to Rochester, NY for the conference and rehearsals (culminating in a concert at the Eastman School of Music's Kodak Theater).

Congratulations to Spencer, Troop 10's most recent Eagle Scout. Spencer earned his Eagle on July 21st. Spencer started in Cub Scout Pack 8110 here in Lake Placid as a Lion Cub, continuing up through until joining Troop 10. He has held the leadership positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol leader and finally Junior Assistant Scout Master. Spencer was also inducted into the Order of Arrow. Spencer's Eagle Scout Project was a service project to the the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department where he digitized records of all of the deceased members of the department dating back to it's formation in 1905. He also organized grave markers to be placed at the graves of these past members to signify their service to the community as Volunteer Firefighters. Spencer intends on joining the Coast Guard to continue to serve his nation. Congratulations Spencer!

Troop 10 along with Lake Placid Pack 8110 participated in the Lake Placid Village Clean Up again this year, doing their part to give back to the community and living by the Scout Law. Good job boys!
