As we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of DSNO's Buddy Walk® , we invite you to join us for a special event the day before:

Featured speakers include Chris Nikic, the first person with Down syndrome to complete an IRONMAN® triathlon, and his father Nik Nikic. Together, they will share their extraordinary journey and the lessons behind their “1% Better” philosophy, demonstrating the impact of consistent growth, family support, and believing in what is possible. Along with Karen Gaffney, accomplished athlete, advocate. A nationally recognized voice for Down syndrome awareness, inclusion, and Alzheimer’s research,

There will be a Community Spotlight Panel showcasing local organizations that are expanding opportunities and creating meaningful pathways to inclusion.

This uplifting afternoon will bring together families, advocates, educators, professionals, and community members to celebrate the limitless potential of individuals with Down syndrome through storytelling, connection, and shared experiences.
