GiGi’s Playhouse is the only worldwide network of Down syndrome Achievement Centers; changing lives through free, results-driven programs for individuals of all ages, their families and communities.

A fond farewell to the wonderful Yamasaki family as they head back to the East Coast. Zak and Asuka, along with sweet Tsubaki and little Hiragi, relocated to Orange County from the New York Playhouse in 2023 and quickly became such a meaningful part of our GiGi’s Playhouse OC family.

Tsubaki has been involved in our Literacy and Math tutoring programs, Open Play, and so many special events over the past two years. The entire family has been incredibly supportive, always helping spread the word about GiGi’s and showing up with kindness, warmth, and enthusiasm for our community.

They will be missed so very much around the Playhouse. Thankfully, this is not goodbye, just farewell for now. And we know the New York Playhouse is absolutely thrilled to welcome them back home.

Big news at GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County. We are so excited to announce the launch of a brand new program for ages 5 to 12, GiGiMOVE Kids.

This fun and active 6 week program runs from July 9 through August 13 and will take place every Thursday from 3 to 4 pm. GiGiMOVE helps kids build strength, coordination, confidence, and healthy movement habits in an encouraging and supportive environment.

The class is completely free, but spots are limited, so be sure to register today through our website calendar.

A very special welcome to Tabitha and her mom Belinda, our newest Playhouse family at GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County. Tabitha is an awesome 9 year old who is kind, fun, smart, and absolutely beautiful inside and out.

We are so happy to have Tabitha and her family as part of our GiGi’s OC community and cannot wait to make so many wonderful memories together.

We are excited to announce Fantastic Friends 2.0, our new Thursday night social program at GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County. Join us Thursdays from 5 to 6 pm for an evening of friendship, connection, activities, and fun in a welcoming environment designed especially with our young adults in mind.

While all adults are welcome, this program will be a great fit for participants ages 18 to 24 looking to build friendships, gain confidence, and connect with peers in a fun and supportive setting.

We cannot wait to grow this new community together at the Playhouse.

A quick shoutout to Cameron, one of the shining lights of our Tuesday night Teen Programs at GiGi’s Playhouse OC. Cameron is always one of the first to arrive, proudly checking himself and his family in on the iPad before heading straight to the gym to help set up mats for GiGiFIT.

He is helpful, kind, hardworking, and so much fun to be around. Cameron has tons of friends at the Playhouse, and everyone lights up when he walks through the door. He truly represents some of the very best parts of GiGi’s Playhouse OC!

Coming this fall to GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County, Music Makers. Join us on the first and third Saturday of every month from 11 am to 12 pm for a free and fun musical experience for all ages.

Each month will feature a different musical performance and interactive activity filled with singing, movement, rhythm, and smiles. We cannot wait to make music and memories together at the Playhouse. Check our calendar for more information

It was Derby Days at Teen Tastic last week and the fun was off to the races. Our teens decorated derby hats, cheered on horse races, laughed with friends, and had an absolute blast together.

A heartfelt thank you to Farmers & Merchants Bank for believing in the mission of GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County and for their very generous unrestricted grant of $2,500.

We were honored to welcome Tiffany Roberts, First Vice President and FMB Foundation Director, to the Playhouse to present the check to Board Member Katie Gresko.
