GiGi's Playhouse is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center offering FREE programs to the community.

GiGi’s Playhouse is the only worldwide network of Down syndrome Achievement Centers; changing lives through free, results-driven programs for individuals of all ages, their families and communities.

We are thrilled to celebrate Mandy, a senior at Mission Viejo High School and a four-year member of the Pep Squad, who was nominated for Homecoming Court this fall!

On October 2, Mandy took part in the Homecoming festivities as the Mission Viejo Diablos faced Edison High School.

In Mandy’s own words, “Being on our homecoming court is the best thing ever!”

What an incredible honor and a beautiful example of inclusion, acceptance, and belonging! Moments like these remind us that individuals with Down syndrome belong everywhere, celebrating milestones, making memories, and shining alongside their peers.

Congratulations, Mandy! You are helping change perceptions and showing the world what we already know: our kids belong everywhere!

A HUGE, heartfelt thank you to the AMAZING families who hosted this year’s Trunk or Treat! When the rain threatened our fun, our incredible community didn’t miss a beat! Everyone sprang into action, transforming trunks into festive tables inside the LDS gym in Aliso Viejo!

And what a celebration it was! More than 150 GiGi’s family members came together for an unforgettable evening filled with balloons, face painting, pizza, ice cream, games, laughter, and LOTS and LOTS of treats!

But the real magic wasn't the candy or costumes. It was watching our families come together, roll with the unexpected, and create something wonderful for our participants.

To every family who hosted, decorated, donated, volunteered, or helped make the evening possible, THANK YOU! Your generosity, creativity, flexibility, and love are what make GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County such an extraordinary community.

The rain may have changed our plans, but it certainly couldn't dampen our spirits! We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

Meet the cutest snack cart team on the course! Nine-year-old Malou and her mom, Sam, took on one of the most important jobs at our Konica Minolta/Pacific Office Automation 4th Annual Putting for the Playhouse Golf Tournament, keeping our golfers happy, hydrated, and well-fed!

Armed with a bucket full of snacks, plenty of water, and some great tunes, this mother-daughter duo cruised all 18 holes at Tijeras Creek Golf Club, delivering goodies and smiles to our 144 golfers, including one very special golfer, Malou’s dad, Steve!

Malou was absolutely amazing! With courage, confidence, and plenty of personality, she approached golfers throughout the course, asking if they would like a snack and handing out treats with her gorgeous smile. She took her job seriously, but made sure to have plenty of fun along the way!

The Kats family is such an important part of our GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County family, and seeing all three of them enjoying the tournament in their own special ways made the day even more meaningful. What a wonderful opportunity for Malou and Sam to spend the day together, making memories, spreading joy, and showing everyone what GiGi’s Playhouse is all about.

Malou and Sam did such an outstanding job that we've already booked them for 2027!

Thank you, Malou and Sam, for volunteering your time, sharing your smiles, and making our tournament even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better snack cart team!
