The Saddleback Valley Toastmasters Club is all about having a good time while following a proven program to improve our communication and speaking skills, and grow as leaders. At every meeting we laugh, joke and learn. It’s an incredibly warm, comfortable and supportive environment -- and you’re welcome to come check out one of our meetings any time! Our Word of the Day for the upcoming Toastmasters meeting is innovative — introducing new ideas, creative methods, or original ways of thinking.

This word is a perfect fit for our meeting theme, "Technology Today." The technologies that shape our world—from artificial intelligence and medical breakthroughs to smartphones and renewable energy—are all the result of innovative thinking. Innovation drives progress and challenges us to imagine what is possible.

📖 At Toastmasters, the Word of the Day is introduced at the beginning of the meeting, and members are encouraged to use it throughout the evening in speeches, evaluations, Table Topics responses, and conversation. It's a fun way to expand vocabulary and practice incorporating new words into everyday communication.

Join us on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center for our next Toastmasters meeting as we explore the theme "Technology Today."

Technology is constantly changing the way we communicate, work, learn, and connect with one another. From artificial intelligence and social media to smartphones and smart homes, technology plays a major role in our everyday lives.
At Toastmasters, our meeting theme helps tie the evening together and inspires the speeches, introductions, Table Topics questions, and overall meeting experience. 😂🍰 Speech Spotlight: Linda Coss – “Dirt Cake” 🍰😂

What happens when a cake doesn’t exactly go according to plan? Linda Coss turned it into comedy gold in her hilarious speech, “Dirt Cake”!

As part of the Engaging Humor Toastmasters pathway, Linda delivered a masterpiece in humorous storytelling that had the entire room captivated from beginning to end. Her timing, expressive delivery, and vivid storytelling kept everyone rapt with attention—and laughing throughout the speech!

The Engaging Humor pathway helps members learn how to use humor effectively to connect with audiences, and Linda absolutely showcased that skill in action.

A huge congratulations to Ricardo Ralston for delivering his very first Toastmasters speech—known as the Ice Breaker! 👏
