🧡 As MMIW/MMIP Awareness Month comes to a close, our commitment continues. 🧡

Today, we honor the Indigenous women, girls, men, and Two-Spirit relatives whose lives were stolen, whose voices were silenced, and whose families continue to seek answers and justice.

Awareness does not end when the month does. The crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People remains urgent, ongoing, and deeply personal to communities across the nation.

At Innovations HTC, we remain committed to:
🧡 Amplifying Indigenous voices
🧡 Supporting survivors and families
🧡 Strengthening culturally responsive advocacy
🧡 Raising awareness around violence, trafficking, and exploitation affecting Indigenous communities

We remember the missing.
We honor the stolen.
We stand with families demanding justice.

No more stolen sisters. No more forgotten relatives.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, the conversation cannot end here. 💚

Mental health impacts millions of people every single day—and the numbers remind us why awareness, support, and access to care matter so deeply.

📊 According to recent national data:
• Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. adults experience a mental illness each year.
• Over 60 million adults in the U.S. were affected by mental health conditions in 2024.
• More than 2.8 million youth experienced severe depression that significantly impacted daily life.
• 1 in 4 adults with mental illness reported an unmet need for treatment due to barriers like cost and access.

At Innovations HTC, we believe mental health care is essential, healing is possible, and no one should struggle alone.

As May ends, let’s continue to:
💚 Check in with one another
💚 Normalize seeking help
💚 Support survivors and communities
💚 Break the stigma surrounding mental health

Awareness is only the beginning. Action, compassion, and connection create lasting change.

❤💚 Healing is Community. Healing is Culture. Healing is Connection. 💚❤

During both MMIP Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, we honor the strength and resilience of Indigenous survivors, families, and communities who continue to carry the weight of trauma while leading pathways toward healing.

Historical trauma, violence, trafficking, loss, and systemic inequities have lasting impacts on mental health—but Indigenous communities continue to show the power of culture, tradition, advocacy, and connection in the healing process.

At Innovations HTC, we believe awareness must be paired with action:
❤ Advocate for Indigenous safety and justice
💚 Support accessible mental health resources
❤ Create spaces for healing and community connection
💚 Center culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
❤ Honor the voices and experiences of Indigenous people

Healing happens when communities come together to listen, support, protect, and uplift one another.

You are not alone. You are valued. Your story matters.

🚐✨ A meaningful day for Innovations HTC and the communities we serve. ✨🚐

On May 20, 2026, our Executive Director was honored to receive a 12-passenger van through the Intercity Transit Surplus Van Grant Program.

This generous contribution will help expand transportation access for survivors and vulnerable community members across Washington State — increasing our ability to provide safe transportation to appointments, shelter, advocacy services, trainings, outreach events, and critical support programs.

Reliable transportation can be a major barrier for survivors seeking safety and services. This van represents more than transportation — it represents access, opportunity, connection, and hope.

We are deeply grateful to Intercity Transit for investing in community-centered organizations and helping us continue our mission of supporting survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

Together, we are building safer pathways forward. 💜

❤💚 At the intersection of MMIP Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize a truth that cannot be ignored: violence, loss, trauma, and systemic inequities deeply impact the mental health and well-being of Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.

The crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons leaves lasting emotional wounds—grief, fear, trauma, and unresolved pain that ripple through generations. Yet Indigenous communities continue to lead with resilience, culture, advocacy, healing, and strength.

At Innovations HTC, we believe healing must include culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and community-centered support that honors Indigenous voices and lived experiences.

This month, we encourage our communities to:
❤ Listen to Indigenous voices
💚 Support mental health and healing resources
❤ Raise awareness around MMIP
💚 Break the stigma surrounding trauma and mental health
❤ Stand together in prevention, healing, and hope

No one should carry trauma alone. Every person deserves safety, support, and the opportunity to heal.

❤️🖤 Honored to stand alongside the Spokane Tribe of Indians during their annual MMIW 5K event. 🖤❤️

Our Labor Trafficking Case Manager had the privilege of speaking with community members about dignity, respect, healthy relationships, and the importance of asking for help when it’s needed. The event opened with a powerful drum ceremony and prayer led by Tribal Elders, followed by words reminding us all of the importance of honoring Tribal culture, community, and one another.

At Innovations HTC, we believe every person deserves compassion, safety, and respect — regardless of their circumstances. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to support conversations that strengthen healing, awareness, and connection within Indigenous communities.

Thank you to the Spokane Tribe of Indians for welcoming us into this important gathering and for continuing to raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives. ❤️

🧡 Awareness Must Lead to Action 🧡

Indigenous communities continue to face disproportionate rates of violence, trafficking, and disappearance—yet many cases remain underreported and unresolved.

MMIP Awareness Month is a time to listen, learn, advocate, and take meaningful action toward prevention, justice, and healing.

At Innovations HTC, we remain committed to supporting survivors, strengthening community partnerships, and amplifying Indigenous voices in the fight against violence and exploitation.

Together, we can help create safer communities and ensure no one is forgotten.
