It’s been a busy year behind the scenes.

UNC basketball legend Roy Williams just helped wipe out $10 million in debt for 6,500 western North Carolinians still recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Partnering with Verizon and ForgiveCo, Williams personally called families to share the news that their debts were erased—no strings attached. Verizon previously donated $400,000 to hurricane relief.

As an Asheville native, Williams said it's an honor to be a part of the program. For more on the story, click the link.

Could You? Is an amazing organization that supplies cups for girls and women here in the USA and around the world. Each cup cost only $10, is made of high grade silicone, and lasts 20 years. For each person this saves them $20-30 a month and often from life choices that harm them emotionally and physically. Often it’s a choice between giving up food. Providing a cup can be life changing.

We arrived early and waited for the officials to bring the container, open it, and begin their assessment to determine taxable items before releasing. We were so thankful for it’s safe arrival yet speechless as we watched them open it.

The container for and arrived in Kampala, Uganda. The contents are being confirmed and then they will release it.

Why missions? The people. The team. Why travel, because of love. Love on others. Love and showing kindness. To empower and look them in that eyes saying “they matter.” They are seen! They are loved! And we come to love on them and in turn be loved back. Uganda: The Pearl of Africa is a pearl because of the people that are here.

We’re leaving for Uganda! A team of 9 heading to visit a community and refugee camp. We’ll be providing prevention training, free medical clinics, empowering women and visiting schools. The container is due to arrive when we are there. So excited! Well post pictures!
