Never Forget

September 11th... As, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We stand in solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 victims, and we pay tribute to the incredible courage of the firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel who selflessly ran toward danger, and the brave military who protected us after.

Their bravery and sacrifice on that day, and in the years since, remind us of the enduring spirit of service and the unbreakable bonds of our communities. As Rotarians, we are inspired by this spirit to continue our work building peace, resolving conflict, and fostering understanding worldwide, striving to ensure a future where such tragedies are prevented, and our communities remain strong and united. We will never forget.

Calling all Book Nerds, Storytellers, and Community Champions! 📚✨

September is Rotary's Literacy Month, which means we’re basically obsessed with fostering a love for reading right here in Thurston County and the wider South Sound.

We're incredibly proud to team up with the real superstars of literacy: the South Sound Reading Foundation, the North Thurston School District, the Timberland Regional Library, and the United Way of Thurston County Reading Buddies. Together, we're on a mission to make sure every kid gets to experience the magic of a good book.

Your bookshelf called. It needs a little breathing room. We're collecting gently used children's and young adult books at Gateway Rotary and other local Rotary Clubs. Your donations are a direct pass to filling classrooms and homes with engaging stories.

Thank you Chicago Title for providing breakfast and energy for the fun 18 holes. You are making it possible to build the William A Bush Park Playground.

It's a soggy 🌧️ early morning at Cap City GC, ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️but that won't dampen our spirits!! We ♥️ love supporting our community and Gateway Rotary as they raise awareness and funds for the replacement of the playground 🛝 at William A Bush Park in Lacey.
