Congratulations to Bobby Bischoff on his selection as the next Secretary-Manager of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District.

Bobby brings nearly two decades of experience with the District, having worked his way from a temporary canal maintenance worker in 2009 to Assistant Manager of Operations and Maintenance. He will officially assume his new role on June 1, 2027.

We also extend our appreciation to retiring Secretary-Manager Craig Simpson for his decades of leadership and service to Columbia Basin agriculture.

Congratulations, Bobby! We look forward to continued collaboration in support of the Columbia Basin Project and the region's agricultural future.

🌱 It's more than water.

It's the potatoes on your dinner table. The jobs that support families. The businesses that keep small towns thriving.

It's the future of agriculture in the Columbia Basin.

The Columbia Basin Project makes all of this possible, delivering reliable irrigation water to nearly 700,000 acres of farmland.

And there's more work to do.

At the Columbia Basin Development League, we're working to protect this investment and advance the Project for future generations.

Some Columbia Basin Project infrastructure has been working for more than 70 years.

That’s worth celebrating.

It’s also why maintaining and modernizing the systems we already depend on must remain part of the conversation alongside continued Project development.

Reliable water requires reliable infrastructure.

Investing in the Columbia Basin Project means both protecting what generations before us built and continuing the work they began.

INVEST. MAINTAIN. COMPLETE.
