BREAKING NEWS 📰 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Uncle Sam Selects La Porte to Host His Personal 250th Birthday Celebration

LA PORTE, TEXAS — After considering communities across the United States, Uncle Sam has made his decision.

For the celebration of America’s 250th year of independence, he has officially chosen La Porte, Texas, to host his personal Fourth of July parade.

Appearing in full patriotic attire, Uncle Sam issued the following statement:

“For 250 years, Americans have celebrated freedom in communities large and small. But this year, I’ve decided that one hometown stands above the rest. I’ve chosen La Porte, Texas, to host my own Independence Day celebration.”

According to Uncle Sam, the decision was easy.

“America’s story isn’t told only in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, or New York. It’s told in places like La Porte — where neighbors know one another, families put down roots, businesses invest in their community, and civic pride is alive and well.”

As preparations begin for the La Porte Fourth of July Parade, Uncle Sam is extending an invitation to everyone who calls La Porte home.

“I need families. I need churches. I need schools. I need businesses. I need sports teams, nonprofits, civic clubs, scout troops, classic cars, decorated trailers, golf carts, marching groups, and anyone who loves this town and loves this country.”

This year’s celebration carries special significance as Americans commemorate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

“Patriotism isn’t something we celebrate once every four years,” Uncle Sam declared. “It’s found in communities that serve one another, invest in the next generation, and gather together in gratitude for the blessings we share.”

Residents, organizations, and businesses are encouraged to enter the parade and help create a celebration worthy of this historic milestone.

“Let’s fill Main Street with red, white, and blue. Let’s celebrate 250 years of American independence. And let’s show everyone why there’s no place quite like La Porte, Texas.”

Uncle Sam closed his announcement with a familiar reminder:

“Uncle Sam wants YOU… to enter the parade!”

Parade Entry Information

Families, businesses, churches, schools, nonprofits, civic organizations, and community groups are encouraged to participate. Decorated floats, vehicles, walking groups, and other creative entries are welcome.

After all, when Uncle Sam chooses your town to host his birthday party, you don’t want to disappoint him.
