Special Olympics Texas is holding its 2026 East Region Flag Football competition right here in La Porte on Saturday, October 17. Athletes from across the region are coming to compete, and they need volunteers to make the day a success.

The La Porte Lions Club is asking our members, friends, and neighbors to lend a hand. You don’t need to know football. You just need to show up, cheer the athletes on, and help where you’re needed. Volunteer roles and details are listed on the sign-up page.

If you can help, please sign up today.

What a great time at La Porte’s National Night Out!

The La Porte Lions Club had a blast connecting with families and spending time with our community. The kids especially enjoyed our Lions Club coloring sheets, we may have had a few future Lions coloring with us! 🖍️🦁

Thank you to the La Porte Police Department, City of La Porte, and everyone who helped make National Night Out such a fun community event.

We love being out in our community doing what Lions do best—SERVING!

The La Porte Lions Club had the privilege of meeting with Ellie and her mother today as she prepares to attend Texas Lions Camp later this month!

Thanks to the generosity of our club members and family we were able to provide Ellie with a backpack filled with camp goodies and essentials to help make her experience even more special.

The La Porte Lions Club had a great time serving our community at the Touch A Truck event! Thank you to all of our Lions members who came out and helped pass out sensory-friendly toys and connect with families your service truly makes a difference. 💛

A special thank you to the La Porte Elementary 5th Grade Expo Experts and Mrs. Horelka for creating the amazing fidget toys and spiral cones using their 3D printer. The kids absolutely loved them! 👏

And a big shoutout to the La Porte Police Department for hosting such a meaningful, sensory-friendly event for our community.

This is what it’s all about serving others and making an impact together.
