Our Jennie Reid EarlyAct Club students had their first club meeting this week and did a review of the Rotary “four-way test.”

Students worked in groups to make posters to demonstrate understanding of each element of the four-way test which is foundational to what Rotary and EarlyAct clubs are committed to.

Understanding the four-way test builds the foundation that our community service, leadership, and “Service above self“ means in their day-to-day life.

Grateful for the support from Samantha Beasley, Julia Hernandez, and Jenny Allen from Sweet Pea Coffee Co for their work with and commitment to these kiddos!

Today we celebrated five years of EarlyAct in La Porte ISD—and the flagship club that started it all atJennie Reid!

It was especially meaningful to welcome back some of the original Rotarians who helped launch the club five years ago. They had the opportunity to see how their early vision and investment have grown into something truly special—not only at Jennie Reid, but across our entire school district.

What began as one club has become a growing movement of young leaders learning the meaning of “Service Above Self” through service to their campuses and community.

We are grateful for the Rotarians, educators, parents, and students who believed in this program from the beginning—and for everyone continuing to help it grow.

Five years of service. Five years of student leadership. And we’re just getting started!

We’re excited to celebrate the third year of the Bayshore Elementary EarlyAct Club.

We kicked off another year with an orientation for students and parents, introducing the opportunities ahead to serve their campus and community.

EarlyAct gives young people the chance to develop leadership skills, practice compassion, and discover the joy of putting “Service Above Self” into action.

We’re grateful for every student, parent, teacher, and Rotary Club partner helping make year three possible. We can’t wait to see how these young leaders serve others and strengthen their community this year!
