Today, on Good Friday, the La Porte community gathers in unity to pray over La Porte ISD here at LPHS.

A group representing so many of the local churches, organizations, teachers and students gathered to pray over hallways and classrooms on the Student Life LP Prayer Walk.

Grateful for Dr. Jackson opening up the campus on this holiday for this event.

We are very grateful for the support of AO1 Roofing and Mark and Jana McGuire!

AO1 Roofing is recognized as Business Partner of the Month during La Porte ISD's Feb. 11 Board of Trustees meeting. The company, owned by Mark and Jana McGuire, serves as a Partner in Education with the first grade at La Porte Elementary, where they have donated a popcorn machine, provided glow sticks and party favors for a glow party, and sponsored families during the holidays. In addition, Mark has been involved with the Student Life organization since its inception and supports the district in numerous other ways. We appreciate their commitment to giving back to our community!

For over 80 years our Rotary Club has been an active benefactor for La Porte ISD, students, and teachers through their hands on work and also financial support.

We hope this holiday season has been filled with joy and peace for you and your loved ones. As we reflect on the past year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for all that Student Life LP has been able to accomplish, together with our volunteers, donors, and prayer warriors, through this ministry.

It has been a blessing to witness the growth and impact of this ministry as we continue to empower students to feel seen, heard, and valued across La Porte ISD.

None of this would have been possible without you—our dedicated volunteers, advocates, and generous donors. Your faithful support has allowed us to meet weekly with hundreds of La Porte ISD students, providing them with guidance, friendship, and hope rooted in God’s love. Your efforts have made an eternal impact in the lives of these young people, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

As we prepare to enter 2025, we are filled with anticipation for what God has in store for Student Life. Your continued generosity enables us to expand our reach, create more opportunities for students to engage with meaningful mentorship, and share the gospel in practical, life-changing ways.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Student Life LP is dedicated to encouraging La Porte ISD students and fostering their growth.

We’ve been invited to expand from three campuses to FIVE this year, from seeing 400 students per week to seeing over 500! This means our infrastructure has to expand as well.

To continue our mission effectively, we need to raise $2,500 for essential upgrades. These funds will be used to enhance our website and create better communication channels with students and volunteers.

This support can be in small recurring pledges or one time gifts. Every gift gets us closer to our goal!
