On June 4, Our Executive Director Joel Iboa will be moderating one of the many cross-sector panels and our member organization Oregon Rural Action will be on the panel! It will explore worker safety, toxic pollution, including PFAS “forever chemicals,” global labor exploitation across the semiconductor supply chain, and the shared playbook of data centers and chipmakers.

Each [data center] uses massive amounts of water, energy and diesel as backup power. The water coming out on the other side is a much higher concentration.

There's data I can point to showing that some of these campuses pull in water, and when it leaves, it's eight times more contaminated than when it came in.
