Had a great drive with some of the best advocates from Wichita airport to Salina learning the history of Ashby House! Looking forward to the next few days of inspiration and fundraising to support essential services of empowerment and hope to those folks who have so much yet to give to this world. Hot Off The Press! A write-up on the Youth Summit 2013! I think that the reporter did a great job reproducing a whirlwind of details. She got to the heart of the story, and that was that this Summit was a great success!

More than 300 people registered to attend the 2013 Youth Summit sponsored by the Central California Family Crisis Center at the Porterville Church of the Nazarene, but the 500-seat worship center was filled almost to capacity.

All I can say is the Youth Summit 2013 was AMAZING! Thank you Porterville for the opportunity to speak to your youth as a survivor, advocate and educator. Krystle Marie, Annie Sobyra Green, and Betty Luna - I am honored to bear witness to the dedication you have in fighting against violence. I was bombarded with hugs, questions, photo/autograph requests, and tears. I had a beautiful experience and am reminded why I continue to speak out. Bless you all.
