East Tennessee lost a legend today. 🦋

Dolly Parton was more than an icon. She was a storyteller, a philanthropist, a champion for her community, and a reminder that kindness and authenticity never go out of style.

For generations of LGBTQ+ folks, Dolly represented something especially meaningful: the freedom to be unapologetically yourself — big hair, rhinestones, bold dreams and all — while making room for others to do the same.

Her roots were here. Her impact reached everywhere.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the generosity, and for showing the world that you can stand proudly in who you are while leading with love.

East Tennessee won’t be the same without you. 🦋🏳️‍🌈
