Dutch Valley’s Food Truck had volunteers from our Mission Serve team today! Having a heart for people shines so brightly in how we compassionately serve others & how we share the love of Jesus with those in need around us. Sometimes filling needs looks like giving out free groceries & sometimes it’s the fellowship & community that people find at Food Truck.

This special sister came in today to testify to the impact of Knoxville Dream Center & Lost Sheep Ministry. She told me of her experience in homelessness with her young son many years ago, eating with us Under the Bridge. She said even over a decade later, her son still talks about how we ministered to them, provided food, fellowship, & clothing in their time of need. This is why we serve those in need; to give hope & to share the love of Jesus with those in our community.

Today was so special. Being the hands & feet of Jesus in Knoxville means meeting tangible & spiritual needs. For a single mom of 3 children, a washer & dryer was a huge blessing! Getting to serve her, visit with her, invite her to church, & to pray with her in her time of need, moved her heart, our hearts, & the heart of God. Everything for your glory Jesus! Matt 25:35-40

We were so blessed by Mission team who has served with us all week! What a beautiful moment of reflection & ministry this morning. They’ve served at our Food Trucks handing out groceries to families in need, at widow’s homes tending to their needs, Under the Bridge serving our homeless community, & in the warehouse preparing food for upcoming food distributions! Thank you Rock City! Your heart for others truly exemplifies being the hands & feet of Jesus!
