ACTIVITY: The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club builds and maintains trails throughout East Tennessee. Stop by to learn about their work and how to get involved. Ask about their youth programs!

⏰ When: 9 AM - 1 PM

🐢 Activity: Ijams Nature Center will lead a market scavenger hunt while sharing information about their animal ambassadors.

💸 All participants ages 2 - 12 will earn $5 in Produce Bucks to spend on locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, and food-producing plants.

🍓 Stretch your SNAP dollars further with Double Up East Tennessee! 🥕

When you use SNAP benefits at participating farmers market farm stores, you can earn extra funds to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. At Nourish Knoxville's markets and partner farmers markets, SNAP shoppers earn $2 in Double Up for every $1 in SNAP spent up to $25. That's an additional $50 per day to spend on fresh, local produce!

June is National Family Health & Fitness Month! 🌞💚 Celebrate by bringing the whole family to participate in Nourish Moves at on Wednesday and Thursday.

Explore the market together while supporting local farmers and producers. Visit our Moves booth at each market to sign up, receive a pedometer to track your steps, then return to receive $3 in Produce Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market. Join us:

📍 Wednesday Market Square Farmers Market, 10 am - 1 pm
📍 Thursday New Harvest Farmers Market, 3 - 6 pm

Plus, on June 4 at New Harvest, we'll welcome Knox County District 8 Commissioner Adam Thompson for a special "Walk with the Commissioner" at 4 pm. Join Commissioner Thompson for a relaxed walk around New Harvest Park and celebrate the importance of getting outside and moving together! Everyone is invited to join at their own pace. Special thanks to Knox County Parks and Rec for partnering on this event!

🌳 Activity: UT Urban Trees Project will be on site demonstrating the importance of trees in urban environments. Stop by to see how trees filter runoff with a 3D printed model!⁠
