September is National Recovery Month, a time to recognize the strength of people on recovery journeys and remind our communities that support is available without judgment. 💙

At Choice Health Network, our Harm Reduction program is a practical and simple approach to reducing overdoses and connecting people with care. Our program services include HIV and hepatitis C testing, lifesaving naloxone and fentanyl test strip distribution, syringe exchange, wound care, education and connection to other health and social services.

On International Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31, we recognize those impacted by overdose, including grieving families, dedicated healthcare and support workers, and first responders who save lives every day. 🤝

Choice Health Network is committed to preventing overdoses and ensuring that people who use substances are supported in the fight against addiction. We provide confidential, judgment-free harm reduction services, including free naloxone and fentanyl test strips, at our Knoxville location and in Cocke and Campbell counties.

🚨Upcoming limited services! 🚨Our staff will attend an annual statewide meeting in Nashville next week. Please note the following service changes for Monday-Friday, Aug. 31-Sept. 4:

💙 Chattanooga: Walk-in testing and walk-in case management services will be closed.
💙 Knoxville: Walk-in testing will be closed, and case management services will be limited for walk-ins.
💙 Jackson: Walk-in case management services will be closed.
💙 Cookeville: Fully closed.

Understanding HIV prevention can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. PrEP is taken before potential exposure to HIV to lower the risk of infection. PEP is taken after a possible exposure and should be started within 72 hours.

Choice Health Network offers these low-cost prevention services to individuals who are both insured and uninsured. Plus, our team strives to make the process as simple as possible!

What a wonderful Top Workplace award celebration our team attended this past week! It was great to see our employees recognized and celebrated for their hard work and dedication. Every day, our team supports the communities we serve while also finding joy in the work.

Today is Zero HIV Stigma Day, a reminder that stigma remains one of the biggest barriers to ending the HIV epidemic.

HIV stigma includes negative attitudes, behavior and judgments toward people living with or at risk of HIV. It can discourage people from getting tested, accessing resources and starting care.

Let’s raise awareness about HIV care and prevention to put an end to this stigma together!

Choice Health Network is upgrading our electronic health record system to continue providing high-quality care to our patients. Due to this upgrade and training required for our staff, several office locations will be temporarily closed during the following times:

Memphis: Clinic will be closed Monday-Friday, July 13-17. A team member will be available by phone to assist patients with requests.

Chattanooga: Clinic will close at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 13, and will be closed Tuesday-Thursday, July 14-16. A team member will be available by phone to assist patients with requests. The clinic will reopen Friday, July 17, with lab services and Telehealth appointments available.

Knoxville: Clinic will be closed Tuesday, July 14, but staff will be available by phone to assist patients. The clinic will follow its regular schedule on Monday, July 13, and Wednesday-Friday, July 15-17.

Jackson and Upper Cumberland: Locations will operate on normal schedule.
