Citizen Historian is a project of the East Tennessee History Center to get local people involved in preserving history. The organization hopes to gather oral histories, photographs, genealogies, and more from people who know the stories behind them. The project aims to update information gathered during Knox County's bicentennial project and the celebration of America 250. Learn more about the project at the link.

ISO BOOK CURATORS--we train!

Friends of the Knox County Library is searching for book lovers that would like to become book curators. A book curator reviews the books donated to a Branch Library to determine which ones will be used for the next Branch book sale, which ones are candidates for our eBay book sales, and which ones we simply return to the community as free books. Guidelines and training are all provided.

Our immediate needs are at our Halls Branch Library on East Emory Road and our Sequoyah Branch Library on Southgate Road, Knoxville, but we have needs on and off at many of our branch locations in Knox County.

For more information, contact Chris Truka via email at [email protected] or via phone at 303-726-9684.

See you soon at one of our Branches!!
