🐊💚 FROM SUMMER CAMP FUN TO PERFORMANCE BOOT CAMP! 🎤🙌🏾

Our Gators have been BUSY! They went from a summer filled with fun, learning, field trips, creativity, and new experiences straight into Performance Boot Camp with our Executive Director, Dawn Whitfield! 🎶🔥

And she has been intentional about keeping our Gators positively focused, engaged, encouraged, and about the Lord’s business at The Gate of Lenoir County ! 🙏🏾

Saturday’s performance at Praise in the Park was more than getting on a stage. It was the result of practice, discipline, teamwork, confidence, faith, and SERVICE.

At The Gate, we believe exposure creates possibilities. Every rehearsal, every performance, every trip, every lesson, and every opportunity is another seed planted. 🌱

We’re not just giving our Gators something to do—we’re giving them experiences that can help shape who they become.

🐊 Summer Camp ➡️ Performance Boot Camp ➡️ Community Service ➡️ PURPOSE!

Keep watching our Gators grow! 💚🙌🏾

🐊🎶 THE GATORS TOOK PRAISE IN THE PARK! 🙌🏾🔥

Yesterday, the Gators of The Gate of Lenoir County lifted their voices at Praise in the Park, and what a beautiful moment it was! 💚

And can we talk about our ED, Dawn Whitfield?! 👏🏾😂 We watched her go from Executive Director to Choir Director OVERNIGHT! 🎤🎶 She stepped up, led our Gators, and did an AMAZING job!

This is what The Gate is about—giving our children opportunities to discover their gifts, build confidence, serve their community, and SHINE! 🌟

Our Gators didn’t just perform… they PRAISED! 🙌🏾🐊

🎨🎉 Another unforgettable day at The GATE of Lenoir County!

Yesterday was filled with color, creativity, and celebration! 🎂 Our birthday Gator, Zyire, celebrated another year with one special birthday wish: Baby-Sitters Club books. 📚❤️

A child who wants to read deserves a library that grows with their imagination. If you’d like to help us build Zyire’s personal book collection, please reach out to us. Let’s fuel his love for reading, one book at a time!

Our Gators also returned to the SmART Gallery with the incredible Mr. Jamil to bring their clay creations to life with color. 🎨 His intentionality continues to shine as he made sure every child—including our newest campers and those who missed last week’s session—had the opportunity to create. That’s what inclusion looks like.

From paint-covered masterpieces to getting cake wasted celebrating Zyire, it was another phenomenal day of learning, laughter, and lifelong memories at Summer Camp!

🎶🌱 Cultivate their interests and watch them grow!

Sometimes all a child needs is permission to try.

Since the first day of camp, Jayden had his eyes on the drums, and Dequan couldn’t stop looking at the guitar. Today, we simply told them, “Go for it!” What happened next left us speechless.

These two Summer Gators, visiting Kinston from Philadelphia, are using their incredible musical gifts to glorify the Kingdom. Their passion, talent, and confidence reminded us why creating opportunities for young people matters.

This is what happens when potential meets purpose. Stay tuned… our Summer Camp Talent Show is going to be something special! 🎤🥁🎸💚
