The Community Council for the Arts is the regional center unifying community ties through exposure to the arts and providing rich cultural experiences while promoting tourism, economic development, and educational opportunities for all This non-profit organization is located in The Arts Center, a restored historic building in Kinston, NC. The Arts Center encourages residents from Lenoir County and the surrounding area to experience the joy, promise, and pursuit of artistic excellence. The Arts Center is handicap accessible and is free and open to the public. The Community Council for the Arts strives to provide rich cultural experiences while promoting tourism, economic development, and educational opportunities for all. Don't forget! Spooky Story & Pumpkin Carving with Lyndon Fuller is TOMORROW (Tuesday)!
Join us for a beloved Halloween community tradition now in its 36th year! Lyndon will carve a pumpkin while orating two spooky, imaginative stories. Kids get to vote on the eyes, nose, and mouth shape of the jack-o'-lantern. It's a can't-miss event for the season, open to all ages.

TEA STAINED FALL LEAF WORKSHOP with Jen Usman

Learn an old, wax-resist technique that uses tea to give paper leaves a warm, antique look. Then add a pop of color with crayons for a finished piece you’ll be proud to display! No experience is needed, and you’ll leave with your own autumn artwork. Fee includes materials.
