❤️ A Little About My Heart, Our Beginning, and How Far God Has Brought Us! ❤️
I wanted to take a moment to share something a little more personal about 3:11 Collective Resource Closet, how we started, and just how much God has blessed this little ministry.
First, some numbers that honestly leave me amazed! 🥹❤️
🌿 August 2023 – We opened our doors and helped 99 children and families that year!
🌿 2024 – We grew to 199!
🌿 2025 – We reached 337!
🌿 2026 – And we have already reached OVER 500! ❤️
When I look at those numbers, I don't just see numbers. I see children who received clothes, shoes, and necessities. I see families who were going through difficult times and needed someone to come alongside them. I see kindness, generosity, and a community willing to help.
For those who may not know me, I'm a mom to five boys and a foster mom to two beautiful little girls. I saw a need in our community and simply wanted to do something to help. I've always had a heart for serving others and giving back, but I never imagined where this journey would take me.
When we started in August 2023, I had no idea what God had planned. I just knew there was a need, and I wanted to help meet it.
And here's something I'll admit... most days, I'm still learning as I go! There are days when I wonder how we're going to meet a need or what the next step should be. God continues to stretch me, grow me, and push me outside my comfort zone. But through it all, He has always provided. Sometimes in ways I never could have imagined.
What amazes me most is that we have done all of this through the generosity of our community. Every bag of clothing, every pair of shoes, every donated item, every dollar, and every hour someone has volunteered has helped make this possible.
❤️ To our volunteers, I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for giving your time, showing up, and loving on the families we serve.
❤️ To our donors and community supporters, thank you for believing in what we're doing and continuing to give so generously.
❤️ To Woodridge Baptist Church, thank you for supporting this ministry, giving us a place to serve, and helping us continue to grow.
I truly could not do this without each of you.
I never started this with a big plan or a vision of reaching hundreds of children and families. I simply saw a need and wanted to help. God took that small step of obedience and turned it into something so much bigger than I ever envisioned.
And I believe He's not finished yet! ❤️
My prayer is that 3:11 Collective will always be a place where families feel welcomed, children feel loved, and people are reminded that someone cares.
Thank you for being part of this journey, for encouraging me, for supporting this ministry, and for helping turn one small act of kindness into hundreds of opportunities to make a difference.
