Yes, you can work all four hours from nine to noon, but all I am asking of you this year is, "ONE HOUR of your COMMUNITY POWER". Service learning, community caring, wholesome fellowship, and a very noble cause all rolled up into one day. Kleenwood Day 2012 January 28th. JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB Title: Chief Trash Picker-Upper
Organization: Kingwood Chamber of Commerce
Location: In Kingwood, Texas a.k
.a. The Livable Forrest
Sector: Community Service
Wanted: Full-time community caring people, with a flare for part-time recruiting, and the endurance to complete a one-time trash round-up. No experience required: We will train you and you can work your way UP. Plenty of OJT. You will start at the highest position in the community and work your way higher. Remember, a rising tide lifts all boats! You will report only to your conscience and all your envious neighbors, friends, and family will report to you on Kleenwood Day 2011. Main Duties: Picking up other people's trash. Lot of room for GROWTH, no glass ceiling. Your ROLE will be to lead our community to a better, kleener tomorrow right here in Kingwood, Texas. No training or education needed. What other workers do around you will be directly related to their community pride as it plays out next to you. If this is your first year to participate in Kleenwood, then this is an entry level position. If you have done it before, then you can Supervise others. If you are really good at Supervision and Recruitment, then please accept an automatic upgrade to Manager as you teach others the responsibility of caring for one's community. If you can pick up trash, Supervise others doing so, Recruit others to join us, and Manage large groups, then you qualify to be a Public Servant and we will Vote for you next election. (If I don't see you pick up trash, I will NOT vote for you.) Even Presidents and Vice-Presidents of large firms are welcome this year to come help us pick up where it's messed up. Working Conditions: Honestly, it is usually the prettiest day on record. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and Mother Nature herself comes out to dance. (on rare occasions it rains, is very cold, the wind blows like Moby Dick and mud is worn in places it usually isn't.) Salary: One Hot Dog complete with bun, Chips, and some sort of drink in Town Center Park around noon. One or two pats on the back. Benefits: You get to drive around, bike around, and walk around Kingwood while enjoying your beautiful hometown. Fringe Benefits: Include getting to spend time with your family, your friends, and your date. (sure, you can bring a Date to Kleenwood this year.) The job starts on January 28th, 2012
It last from nine to noon. But I am only asking for ONE HOUR of COMMUNITY POWER. Report to your village pool or designated area. (group assignments sometimes overlap areas)
Pick up trash and put it in a trash bag. Bring it back to the pool where you should see a Travis McCormick Kleenwood Day sign. Have as much fun as you want. Please forward this to every community member from newborn to ninety-nine to make sure everyone is aware of the OPENING. Livably Yours,
Sparky Nolan
