We were honored to partner with ALAN (American Logistics Aid Network) today and grateful for the opportunity to share about Project Protect Our Children and the free prevention, awareness, and educational resources.

Transportation and logistics move the economy. But the same systems that move commerce can also be exploited by those seeking to exploit people. The question is whether our industry will simply acknowledge that risk or lead in preventing it.

Leadership is not measured by what companies are required to do. It is measured by what they choose to do when they recognize they have the ability to make a difference.

Thank you, ALAN, for creating space for this important conversation and for your commitment to strengthening and protecting our communities.

Our free Human Trafficking 101 for Every Employee training is a concise, 26-minute online module available in both English and Spanish, providing the foundational knowledge every employee needs to recognize, identify, and report human trafficking, helping to close one of the most significant gaps in prevention and awareness within our communities. Currently used by logistics companies in 15 states, this training empowers organizations to turn awareness into action and become part of the solution.

A first for Louisiana!

Project Protect Our Children was honored to provide our first training in Louisiana for Big Buddy Program staff members who will be leading their youth programming this summer.
For decades, Big Buddy has built a community of mentoring relationships that advance and inspire youth, creating spaces where young people can learn, grow, build confidence, and be supported by caring adults.

As their team prepares for a summer of learning, growth, and fun, we are grateful for the opportunity to equip staff with prevention education around child trafficking, exploitation, online safety, grooming, and how trusted adults can recognize and respond to concerns.
Prevention begins with awareness, and awareness grows when caring adults are equipped to protect the youth in their care.

Thank you, Big Buddy Program, for your commitment to Baton Rouge youth and for allowing us to be part of this important work. We are proud to stand alongside you as we work together to create safer, stronger communities for children.

Do you know what trafficking actually is?

Most people don’t know the signs. Knowledge = protection.

Knowledge spreads awareness. Awareness is key to prevention.

Advocates warn child exploitation remains a “hidden crime” in Houston, while domestic violence continues to affect thousands of families each year.

Teacher Appreciation Week ❤️

We could not do this work without you.

Because of dedicated educators, the Youth Action Board continues to grow as a student-led movement on campuses, empowering young people to ENGAGE, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER their peers in preventing trafficking before it begins.

You create safe spaces. You guide meaningful conversations. You support students as they step into leadership and become part of the solution.

The Youth Action Board is more than a club, it’s a movement. And that movement is only possible because of you.

Thank you for showing up, for believing in your students, and for helping shape safer schools and stronger communities.

On International Workers’ Day, we honor the dignity of every worker and the right to safe, fair, and free employment.

Labor trafficking often hides in plain sight. It can look like restricted freedom, withheld documents, unsafe working conditions, little or no pay, threats or coercion, and overcrowded living situations.

Educating ourselves and others matters. When more people know the signs, more people can step in, speak up, and help protect those who may not be able to.

Knowledge spreads awareness. Awareness is key to prevention and identification.

If you see something that doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts. You can contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline for guidance and support.

Together, we can help ensure every worker is seen, valued, and protected.
