Today, Governor Abigail Spanberger recognized the 90th anniversary of the Virginia State Parks system — celebrating nine decades of natural beauty, outdoor adventure and community impact across the Commonwealth.

With 44 state parks stretching from the Cumberland Gap to the Eastern Shore, every Virginian is within an hour’s drive of a state park. We invite you to visit often, relax, and enjoy all they have to offer.

🏹 Let's Go on an Archery Adventure
Friday June 19, 2026. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Caledon State Park Front Lawn
“The Let's Go Adventure staff will show you the basics of archery including finding your draw length, proper safety and shooting techniques, and more.”
Registration is required. Parking fee $5/vehicle applies or you can use your VA State Park pass.

🛶 Fossil Find Kayak
Saturday June 20, 2026. 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Caledon State Park Visitor Center
“Paddle the lower Potomac River on a fossil finding adventure!”
Paid registration is required. Parking fee $5/vehicle applies or you can use your VA State Park pass.

Good music, great wine, and perfect park weather... last night was a total vibe! 🪵🎻

We had the best time at Songs in the Woods thanks to the wonderful musical talents of Peter & Laurie / Tollbooth Buskers. Nature provided the backdrop, they provided the soundtrack, and The Estate at White Hall Vineyard provided the fantastic support to make it all happen!

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening with us. ☀️🌙
