To all the folks that I met at Port Royal Va Pirates Festival and are now following me, thanks. I learned my skill from my mother that wove for fifty years herself. She picked up the skill from Edwin Lundy outside of Greensboro Ga. That shop was on the road that went to Union Point Ga. The year might have been about 1954.
My father was a Methodist Pastor for 50 years himself. We lived in places like Cordele, Rebecca, Byromville, Remerton (Valdosta) and Ellaville. All towns in Georgia. In July of 1976 I departed for the U S Navy on a Trailways bus. I never moved back home. I served 21 years and 10 days. I have been to many countries and sailed in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian and Pacific Ocean. I crossed the equator twice and been through both the Suez and Panama Canals.
Now I’m just the County Weaver. I am always open to teaching people how to weave their own chair or weave coasters.
