We are seeking donations or physical help cleaning a Veterans yard. He has several downed trees from recent storms that are in danger of allowing his livestock to get out. Because od his battle withh cancer, his property needs some help

Since he lives in Highway 45, this is a danger to both people on the road and his animals.

Can you help?
We’re trying to hire professionals to remove the downed trees and bush hogging the property.
Do you know a trusted company to hire there?
Do you have equipment and could help us this Saturday?

Jolly Roger Restaurant is hosting Red White and Blue Nights while working to raise funds for the OBX American Legion! These nights are a boot scootin' boogie of a good time and doing good in real time!! 🙏

Also a big, excited shout out to LIVE from OBX who, not only is donating 2 tickets to the upcoming Josh Turner & Flatland Calvary shows to raffle and Red White and Blue Nights but is helping us continue tk raise funds by volunteering at the shows!

The world has lost one of the most dedicated, driven, compassionate, kind, and overall just amazing person, Colonel Carl Reiber, U.S. Army Retired.
Colonel Reiber was always there as an ear to listen, a voice to support you, and a body for the manual labor.
He was a Servant Leader who will never be forgotten and his impact on the Outer Banks Veterans Community will outlive us all.

The family will receive visitors at OBX Catholic Parish - Holy Redeemer By the Sea on Friday, March 13th from 10:00am - 11:00am. Mass will follow. A reception at the church will begin following the service.
Burial will take place at Manteo Cemetery at 2pm.

A few members from our leadership team had the opportunity to go up to Washington DC to attend the American Legion’s 66th Annual Washington Conference this past week! They got the chance to talk with some of our leaders in the American Legion, learn more about resources in place and plans in motion to help our veteran communities, and they even got to advocate for veterans across the country to our Congressmen and Congresswomen.
