https://obrf.org/events/ Financial assistance amounts range from $500 to $3,000. Some examples of those situations are individuals stricken with cancer, or with serious blood or nerve disorders, o

r spinal injuries, or MS. The Relief Foundation works closely with the other charitable and helping organizations here in our Outer Banks community, in order to coordinate our support and services to the needy, to not duplicate our efforts, and to maximize our collective resources as much a possible, particularly in these challenging economic times.

The Links Ladies hosted another successful Driving Fore The Cure last weekend. ☀️ What an incredible event! Their hard work raises funds for local women facing cancer diagnosis & treatment. Thank you, Links Ladies, for supporting the Outer Banks Relief Foundation and Outer Banks Health. You make an amazing difference year after year.

"Most of us go through our lives making daily and future plans and decisions with the expectation that life will go as we planned. We might make room in the back of our minds that it’s possible we might be thrown a curve ball … but, naaaa, probably not.

At least we think that way until that curve ball hits us squarely in the face – an injury, an illness, a death, a significant housing issue. And when that new reality hits, fear and paralysis often take us over, at least for a while.

The Couture by the Shore team truly got wild for relief on May 9! 🐅 Through their hard work, creativity, and dedication, this extraordinary group of volunteers raised an incredible $175,000 to help local families facing some of life's most difficult moments. Thank you, Jada Gale, Zoe Morris, Sandy Williams, Chelsea Jordan, Janet Owen-Rosso, Millie Ward, Patti Bourexis, Jill Bennett, Kim Crockett, MaryAnn Newman, Dorothy Heath Morris (Lindsey Patterson - not pictured).

Couture by the Shore is powered by an amazing team of volunteers, committee members, sponsors, boutiques, models, donors, auction supporters, and attendees who give their time, talents, and resources to make this event possible each year.

Because of your hard work and generosity, $175,000 was raised to help local families facing financial hardship after tragedy strikes.

To everyone who played a role, whether behind the scenes or in the spotlight, thank you for proving what is possible when a community comes together to lift up its neighbors in their greatest time of need.
