At Tuesday’s luncheon meeting we sang Happy Birthday to our awesome weekly server, Claudia, and gave her a gift.
We had Tracy Goodpaster as today’s speaker. She let us know that Medicare and Social Security will NOT make phone calls to us. Beware of scammers! Hang up if anyone calls and says they are from one of those agencies. Those who qualify for Medicare only do updates to their plans one time each year, which happens a few months from now. We need to keep ourselves informed and aware.

Thank you to Tamera Oberbeck, for being today’s speaker. She shared about her travels to many countries, serving in Peace Corps after retirement, then taking on different “gigs” short term to give her a job and a place to stay and food. She carried a backpack and tried to stay to a budget of $30 per day. She encouraged people not to be afraid to travel alone and to enjoy the adventure.
