Seedra was born with a congenital defect in her legs in Gaza. She could not receive the treatment she needed at home.

Through HEAL Palestine's Global Healing Program, Seedra received treatment in the US. She is now back in Gaza, continuing her rehabilitation at Al Amal Hospital.

In the Middle Area of Gaza, HEAL Palestine's mental health team identified 14 orphaned children in need of psychological support following the loss of their parents. After conducting assessments at the Mental Health Center, we began structured group sessions, helping them express their feelings, build coping skills, and find a safe space to heal.

Adam, 4, lost his entire family, his parents, sister, and brother in a bombing in Khan Younis. He lost his right leg in the same attack. His grandmother is his only companion.

Sixteen children from HEAL Palestine's Orphan and Amputee Program completed their first graduation. These children have received comprehensive support across education, healthcare, nutrition, and mental health care. This graduation is not an ending. It is the foundation of a safer, warmer future for each of them.

HEAL Palestine is one of the leading organizations arranging medical care for injured children from Gaza outside of the Middle East. After the United States government stopped issuing visas for injured children from Gaza to come to the United States for medical care in August 2025, HEAL Palestine continued its Global Healing Program by sending the first two injured children to Mexico for treatment, and is now expanding care for more children to countries like Spain and Portugal. Malak is a child whose leg was amputated due to an IOF drone and will travel to Portugal for treatment soon.

A HEAL Palestine é uma das principais organizações a tratar da assistência médica a crianças feridas de Gaza fora do Médio Oriente. Após o governo dos Estados Unidos ter cessado a emissão de vistos para crianças feridas de Gaza receberem cuidados médicos nos Estados Unidos em agosto de 2025, a HEAL Palestine deu continuidade ao seu Programa de Cura Global, enviando as duas primeiras crianças feridas ao México para tratamento, e está agora a alargar os cuidados a mais crianças em países como Espanha e Portugal. Malak é uma criança que teve a perna amputada por um drone das IOF e viajará em breve para Portugal para receber tratamento.

Khaleel Abu Shaban,15, was walking to a barbershop in Gaza City in April of 2024 when he was hit by an Israeli rocket that took both of his legs and put him in a coma.

In partnership with World Central Kitchen, HEAL Palestine reached 10 shelter centers across northern Gaza, delivering hot meals to all displaced families there. Every family received a warm plate of rice and chicken, a simple but meaningful act of nourishment in one of the most devastated areas of the strip.

In Al Mawasi, Khan Younis, children with amputations are drawing their dreams.
HEAL Palestine just launched one of the only dedicated psychological support programs for child amputees in Gaza. In a place where mental health care is nearly impossible to find, these sessions are giving kids something the war tried to take: a sense of safety, confidence, and hope.

Through art and group resilience practice, the healing has already begun. This is what it looks like to rebuild from within.
