Tridec - Tri-City Development Council Since 1963, TRIDEC has been the leading economic development organization for Benton and Franklin Counties.

TRIDEC works to sustain the Tri-Cities as a globally competitive, technology-driven economy that provides prosperity and opportunity for our region's residents, businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities through collaborative works. TRIDEC is a 501c6 nonprofit business organization supported by generous contributions from its member investors. TRIDEC competes with many other economic development organizations throughout the United States for businesses to choose the Tri-Cities as their relocation or expansion destination. Our ability to provide detailed informational packages, site tours of the region, and presentations to corporations and site selectors rests on the generous support of our civic partners, member investors, and community partners. TRIDEC is governed by a 39-person board of directors that establishes organizational policy. The board is comprised of representatives from local communities, private sector leaders, and other organizations committed to creating and supporting jobs in our region.

A major milestone for the Hanford cleanup mission! The Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant has now transformed more than 250,000 gallons of radioactive tank waste into glass, marking significant progress toward sustained operations and long-term cleanup.

This achievement reflects the dedication, innovation, and expertise of the teams working to address Hanford’s legacy waste and advance the region’s long-term environmental and economic future.

National Coffee Day is the perfect excuse to celebrate one of our favorite parts of the workday — local coffee shops!

Our team has a few favorites, but the Tri-Cities is full of great local spots to grab your morning cup, catch up with a friend, fuel your workday or simply take a moment to enjoy your community.

This National Coffee Day, skip the usual routine and try a local coffee shop you haven’t visited yet. You might just discover your new favorite.

Live here. Work here. Drink coffee here. That’s the Tri-Cities.

TRIDEC was proud to join Columbia Basin College (CBC) in celebrating the ribbon cutting for Hawks Landing Hall, CBC’s new student residence hall!

Investments like this do more than add beds, they help create an environment where students can learn, connect and build their future right here in the Tri-Cities. As our region continues to grow, providing students with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed is an important part of building the workforce of tomorrow.

Congratulations to CBC and everyone who helped bring Hawks Landing Hall to life! We’re excited to see the impact this new space will have on students and our community.

There’s something special about the first day of fall in the Tri-Cities. Crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and the return of one of our favorite seasonal traditions—pumpkin patches!

Whether you’re searching for the perfect pumpkin, getting lost in a corn maze, taking a hayride, or sipping warm apple c***r, our local farms offer countless ways to make memories with family and friends.

This season, get outside, support local agriculture, and discover all the fun waiting just around the corner. Because living in the Tri-Cities means having a community that celebrates every season together.
