A beautiful day to raise awareness of an important cause!

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kadlec held flag raising ceremonies today at the medical center and Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center.

At both events, breast cancer survivor, Heather Taylor, shared about her journey and the care she received at Kadlec. At the medical center, she was joined by Anne Simmons-Dumo, Diagnostic Imaging Manager, and Dr. Tim Gormley, radiologist. The ceremony at the cancer center featured Ashley Doherty, Quality RN Manager, and Dr. Ryan Kraus, radiation oncologist. Together, the speakers highlighted Kadlec’s comprehensive breast care program, which includes mammography, surgical specialty care, medical oncology, radiation oncology, research, genetics, survivorship, support programs and nurse navigation.

At the Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center flag raising, Ben Franklin Transit unveiled their Driven By Hope Dial-A-Ride vehicle for the month of October. This vehicle is wrapped in the names of community members who have battled breast cancer. Signatures featured in the Driven By Hope artwork were collected at multiple community outreach events in 2026, including the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation breakfast.
