Family Promise of Southern Chester County Creating a self-sustainable livelihood for children and families experiencing homelessness in SCC

When confronted with almost 500 children in Southern Chester County who have experienced homelessness (as documented by the Dept of Education, 2013-14), a concerned group of citizens was compelled to respond. After multiple meetings with community leaders, non-profit organizations, and clergy leaders/representatives, Family Promise, a national organization, was vetted to be the best model for our

community to respond to this need. We began operations on Nov. 1, 2015 and have been actively serving families who are experiencing homelessness ever since.

Family Promise of Southern Chester County is incredibly proud to celebrate Daniel on his graduation from Kennett High School! 🎓

During commencement, Daniel was awarded the prestigious W. Earle Rupert Memorial Cup, Kennett High School’s highest honor. This award is presented to the senior member of the National Honor Society who, in the judgment of the faculty, best exemplifies scholarship, school spirit, and service to the school community.

Throughout his four years at Kennett High School, Daniel demonstrated a deep commitment to leadership and service, serving as Class Vice President while also dedicating countless hours to supporting his school and community.

As Family Promise’s Marketing & Social Media Coordinator, Daniel has helped share our mission, connect with community members, and advocate for families in both English and Spanish. He has used his voice to uplift others and create meaningful change both within our organization and throughout the Kennett community.

Daniel’s leadership, compassion, and dedication to service embody the very qualities recognized by the Rupert Cup. We are honored to have been part of his journey and grateful for the impact he has made on Family Promise and the families we serve.

Congratulations, Daniel, on this well-deserved achievement. We cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in this next chapter! 💙🎉
