🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today, we’re celebrating the four-legged friends who somehow manage to make everything better just by showing up. ❤️🐶

And it’s also a pretty perfect day to celebrate Paws for People, one of our 2025 SMART Grants that brought the power of therapy animals into all of our schools! 🐕📚

Because sometimes the best way to brighten a tough day, ease a little anxiety, build a connection, or simply make a student smile… has four paws and a wagging tail. 🥹🐾

This is why we do what we do.

We fund the ideas that go beyond the ordinary. The ideas that create experiences, open doors, support students, and make our schools a little more joyful.

So today, give your dog an extra treat, an extra belly rub, and maybe a little extra credit for being part of something pretty special. 🐾❤️

Since 2001, the Kennett Education Foundation has invested in our schools, educators, and students through education grants, scholarships, and programs that create opportunities and help bring innovative ideas to life.

But the impact of KEF is about more than dollars. It’s about teachers with big ideas, students with big dreams, and a community willing to invest in both.

A closet full of compassion. 💙

Thanks to a KEF grant, the Thread Shed at Kennett Middle School is helping ensure every student has access to clothing, shoes, and personal care items when they need them most. Because when students feel confident and cared for, they're better prepared to learn.
