September is rolling in, and we’re here for it! 🚲🌿

We have a big month ahead at the Kennett Trails Alliance with ways to get outside, explore the trails, and be part of what’s happening around Kennett. Here’s what’s coming up:

Join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Pennock Park as we officially open the newest connection on the Kennett Greenway and recognize the partners and community members who helped make it possible. Then, be among the first to experience the new connection as you walk, bike, or roll along Greenway West from Pennock Park to Cannery Row for a community celebration with , , , and .

Keep the wheels turning at the 7th Annual Bike Fest, a free, family-friendly celebration featuring a bike giveaway, helmet and gear giveaway, crafts, a bike rodeo, and plenty of pedal-powered fun. Blend your own smoothie, create spin art, make bubbles, and celebrate all the ways bikes bring our community together.

Yesterday, volunteers from .financial traded spreadsheets for bike stands as part of Chatham’s Founder’s Day of Giving, lending their time and talents to the Kennett Bike Project. 🚲

Together, they repaired and tuned up donated bikes, getting them ready to find new homes at Bike Fest 2026 on September 27. Every tire pumped, brake adjusted, and bike restored brings us one step closer to putting more neighbors on two wheels.

This is community in action, and we’re grateful to the Chatham Financial team for helping us make biking more accessible for families throughout Kennett. 🧑

Some of our favorite trail companions happen to have four legs.

Whether they're leading the way, stopping to sniff every few feet, splashing near the creek, or simply enjoying a walk with their favorite human, dogs make every adventure on the Kennett Greenway a little more fun.

Today, we're celebrating all the pups who walk, wander, and explore the trails alongside us. πŸ• 🫢

𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 π‚π¨π§π§πžπœπ­π’π¨π§ 𝐈𝐬 π“πšπ€π’π§π  π’π‘πšπ©πž 🌿

Exciting progress is underway on the Kennett Greenway, where construction is moving forward on the newest trail connection between Pennock Park and South Mill Road.

Once complete, this important connection will create over 2 miles of continuous Kennett Greenway between the Borough of Kennett Square, Pennock Park, Kennett Bike Park and eventually to Chandler Mill Preserve, opening up even more opportunities to walk, bike, explore, and connect with nature and our community.

πŸ“… π’πšπ―πž 𝐭𝐑𝐞 πƒπšπ­πž: Join us Thursday, September 24 at 4 p.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the newest connection on Greenway West!
More details about the celebration are coming soon. We can't wait to experience this new connection with you!

What a special day at The Garage Reunion, where alumni, staff, volunteers, and community members came together to celebrate 25 years of The Garage Community and Youth Center!

The Kennett Trails Alliance was honored to join the festivities and bring Art on the Greenway into the celebration. Guests of all ages added their creativity to Reflections of Our Roots, painting and drawing on sycamore leaves that will become part of a community-built tree sculpture. Artist Rhonda Babb of The Hope Symbol also joined the fun helping guests screenprint her original designs that celebrate the powerful connection between nature, history, and the stories rooted in our region.

We can't wait to share the progress as Philadelphia muralist brings all of these individual contributions together to create a one-of-a-kind sculpture for the Kennett Greenway.

Thank you to The Garage for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful milestone. Here's to 25 years of bringing people together and to all the stories still to come! 🫢

A little creativity popped up at the Kennett Square Farmers Market! 🎨🌿

We brought Art on the Greenway to the market for a community painting session, inviting neighbors of all ages to pick up a brush, add their mark, and become part of something we’re creating together.

At Kennett Trails Alliance, Art on the Greenway brings art, nature, and people together through shared creative expression inspired by the landscapes and stories of our community. And every brushstroke helps tell that story.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to paint with us and to the Kennett Square Farmers Market for giving creativity a place to grow! 🫢
