Seven months apart. One family that refused to stop advocating. One powerful story of reunification. ❤️

Marissa and Michael were separated for seven months. Through every "no," every unanswered question, and every difficult moment, their family kept standing in the gap.

Prayer partners Jackie and Robin faithfully prayed them through. Then, on the day a hearing was expected, the attorney said, "Come on, let's go: we've got to go get our girl."

No hearing was needed. Hearts had changed. Marissa was coming home.

"Having advocacy behind you… you're not by yourself. It means the world."

And the greatest resource? "The power of prayer behind us: you can't really put a price tag on that."

Marissa and Michael hadn’t seen each other in seven months.

Separated by foster care, every effort to bring Marissa home seemed to end with “no.” But their family kept advocating. They kept praying. And Ignite Hope connected them with a prayer partner who stood with them through every closed door.

“It wasn’t just us against the world anymore.”

Then, on the day a hearing was supposed to take place, there was no hearing. Hearts had changed: and Marissa came home.

Her mom whispered, “You’re ours, and I never have to send you away again. You get to stay home forever.” ❤️

When you walk into the Hope Chest, you'll see shelves neatly stocked with clothing, diapers, bedding, and the everyday essentials a family needs. But look a little closer, and you'll see something far more valuable: hope in motion. 💙

Behind every folded stack and every organized bin is a volunteer who showed up believing that no family should navigate this journey alone. They sort the donations. They restock the shelves. They pray over each item before it finds its way home. And when a caregiver arrives by referral, they're not just receiving supplies : they're being reminded that they are seen, valued, and surrounded.

That's the heart of Ignite Hope. Every tangible need met is a door opened for connection, encouragement, and healing.

A calm school year doesn’t begin with a perfect morning: it begins with connection. 💙

For foster and adoptive families, back-to-school can bring excitement, uncertainty, big feelings, and reminders of past transitions. A few steady supports can make a meaningful difference:

🕰️ Build predictable routines and practice them before the first day.
💬 Have gentle transition conversations: What feels exciting? What feels hard? What would help?
❤️ Make space for emotional check-ins without rushing to fix every feeling.
🌿 Offer grace when regulation takes time: especially after a long school day.
🤝 Partner with teachers and school staff so they understand the child’s needs and strengths.

You don’t have to navigate these moments alone. Ignite Hope provides family coaching and Biblically-based resources that help caregivers strengthen bonding, support attachment, and walk children through transitions with wisdom, compassion, and prayer.

Through the Hope Chest, we provide tangible needs : clothing, diapers, bedding, and more : by referral for the foster and adoptive families and ministry partners on the front lines of child welfare. The Ignite Hope Hope Chest is a tangible needs space created to encourage foster, adoptive, and kinship families caring for kids in crisis: by referral.

Through the Hope Chest, families can receive essentials such as clothing, diapers, bedding, and thoughtfully prepared care packages. These tangible resources help lighten the load, meet immediate needs, and remind caregivers that they are not walking this journey alone. 🙏

This is what faith in action looks like: coming alongside families with compassion, dignity, and hope as they help children heal, bond, attach, and transition.
