Apply for SGCI’s first ever Curated Open Portfolio! We are trying new things to appeal to different members at different stages of their careers.

Space is extremely limited, with no more than 30 printmakers participating. Each artist receives a table to display their work and time to connect with invited guests, including collectors, curators, gallerists, archivists, and museum professionals.

Applying is free! You’ll submit a short-written statement and one link to your portfolio. A Collector’s Panel will jury applications.

We’re reserving four spaces for emerging artists: two for current graduate students and two for undergraduate seniors.

One important note: if selected, you cannot also register for a standard Open Portfolio session. Space is limited for both events and we want everyone to have an opportunity to show.

We hope you’ll apply and take advantage of this special opportunity to share your work and grow your professional network at Confluence 2027 in Pittsburgh!

Nominate your students, peers, and mentors for the 2027 SGCI Awards! The nomination forms are available on the Confluence webpage through the month of October. We’ll remind you here and in newsletters throughout the month to submit the nominations, so we can then vote on the recipients in November & December. Then we get to convene to honor the winners in Pittsburgh!

HOW TO APPLY:

Step one: go to our website at the link in our bio!

Step two: Browse the open calls below

Step three: review the details for each opportunity

Step four: follow the application instructions listed in the Information + Apply dropdown menu.

Please note:

- Each call includes additional information and a link to a Google Form for that specific conference opportunity.
Applicants should submit separately for each program, exchange, exhibition, or event they wish to be considered for.

- After forms are submitted, organizers will review applications and follow up with applicants according to the notification timeline listed above.

- For calls that require image submissions, applicants should create a multi-page PDF and upload it through the application form. If a CV is required, applicants should upload it separately in the designated CV section.

- Questions about a specific opportunity should be directed to the organizer listed in that call.
