✨We’d love to congratulate our chapter sister Camila Merino Correa “A” (SP23, L14, #2) who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a double minor in French and International Human Rights & Security and a Certificate in Global Studies from the University of Georgia! 🎓✨

✨We’d love to congratulate our chapter sister Nadia Mosqueda-Jimenez “A” (SP26, L18, #2) recently graduated with a Bachelor in Biology with a Concentration in Human Health!🎓✨

During her time at KSU, Nadia accomplished many things! Some of which include:

One of Nadia’s favorite undergraduate memories was studying and presenting her research at KSU’s symposium. Her work focused on the effects of antimicrobial peptides as potential therapeutic alternatives against the critical multidrug-resistant pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Nadia plans to continue her education by earning a master’s degree in Public Health before attending medical school to pursue a career as a physician.

Mia Torres ( #7) 🇲🇽🇺🇸

Mia is a first year majoring in Sociology with a minor in Legal Studies. She is a proud Mexican-American, born and raised in Suwanee, GA. After she graduates she plans on attending law school , to become an attorney! She enjoys spending time with her loved ones, watching movies and shows, random drives, side quests, listening to music, and learning random hobbies! 👩🏻‍⚖️🎥🎶

Fun Fact: Mia has been told she is an old soul!

When asked why LTA, she stated:
“The reason I joined Lambda Theta Alpha was because I saw the strength in the sisterhood, as well as the passion to support the community! LTA was a space I felt connected to since it is an organization with strong, committed, and dedicated women who empower each other as well as the Latino community.”

Isabel Rios ( #6) 🇲🇽

Isabel is a sophomore majoring in Political Science minoring in International Affairs. Her roots are from Durango and San Luis Potosí Mexico, but she was born and raised in Forest Park, GA. Once she graduates, she plans on going to Law school and becoming an advocate for her community and others! She enjoys going out with her loved ones, doing arts and crafts, spending time with nature, and petting cats! 🎨🌿🐈

Fun Fact: She grew up between the U.S. and Mexico, as she spent many summers and Christmas breaks in Mexico during her childhood!

When asked Why LTA, she stated:
“I chose Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. because of its political involvement and commitment to the community. Growing up in an underserved community myself, I witnessed mistreatment and neglect firsthand, which showed me how deeply politics can affect everyday life. Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. encouraged me to find strength and resilience in my journey, and I hope to do the same with other Latinas. I always remind myself and others that your story matters, so make sure that you make yourself heard because no one can take your experiences away from you. There’s always truth to that.”

Whitney Gault ( #5) 🇲🇽🇺🇸

Whitney is a sophmore majoring in World Language Education. She is Mexican and Soulaani American, born and raised in Macon, GA. After she graduates, she plans on pursuing her J.D. to become a family lawyer. She enjoys crochet, watching television and being with her dog! 🧶📺🐕

Fun fact: Her dog lives on campus with her! 🐾

When asked Why LTA, she stated:
“I decided to join LTA because I wanted to be in a sisterhood of women who were like me. I wanted to not only be supported and uplifted by latina women, but also have an oppurtunity to uplift them and the community. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself and to show other Afro-latinas that we belong.”

Sheila Serrano ( #3) 🇲🇽🇸🇻

Sheila is a first‑year student, majoring in Construction Management. She’s proudly Mexican & Salvadoran , born and raised in Smyrna, GA. She currently has an internship in the construction field, and after graduating she plans to come aboard full‑time and pursue her career as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction. She enjoys traveling, going to concerts and hiking! ✈️🎶🥾

Fun fact: She serves in the Army Reserve.

When asked Why LTA, she stated:
“I chose Lambda Theta Alpha because I wanted a true sisterhood, a space where Latinas uplift each other, grow together, and stay rooted in our culture. LTA’s focus on Latina empowerment and academic excellence is something I admire”

Nadia Mosqueda-Jimenez ( #2) 🇲🇽🇺🇸

Nadia is a fourth year majoring in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. She is a proud Mexican-American, born and raised in Calhoun, GA. After she graduates this Spring, she plans on pursuing her master’s degree in Public Health before going to medical school, to become a Pathologist or Internal Medicine Physician! She enjoys conducting laboratory research, spending time with her friends/family, and drinking boba! 🔬🧪🧋

Fun Fact: Nadia’s first time snowboarding was at an elevation over 10k ft!🏂

“I chose to join Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. because I admire the values and principles it represents, and I want to be part of a community where, over time, I can inspire other Latinas from backgrounds similar to mine to succeed while also giving back to the communities that have supported my growth through education and service.”

Diana Hilario Coronel ( #1) 🇲🇽

Diana is a third year majoring in Accounting with a minor in Spanish. She’s a proud Oaxaqueña, born and raised in Canton, GA. After she graduates she plans on becoming CPA certified and to become an international consultant! She enjoys spending time with her family, thrifting, cosmetology, concerts, and trying new coffee/matcha places! 🎶🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🍵

Fun Fact: She has been to 13 concerts. Rauw Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra Tour is her favorite one!

When asked why LTA, she stated:
“I decided to join Lambda Theta Alpha because there is a strong sense of community with other likeminded Latinas. I wanted to be given the opportunity to help and create an impact in my community and be a part of something special that could inspire other Latinas!”
