Community LINC Our mission is to end the cycle of homelessness for this generation and the next. A mix of staff and volunteers deliver classes in age-related groups.

Community LINC's mission is to end homelessness, impact poverty and remove barriers to self-sufficiency for the families we serve. Each year, Community LINC provides Interim and Immediate Housing to approximately 150 homeless families in the greater Kansas City area. Our vision is to end family homelessness in Kansas City by providing the tools and resources families need to break the cycle of hom

elessness. With the advocacy and support of staff and volunteers, our residents reduce or eliminate their debt, establish and maintain savings and work on life skills and self-sufficiency. Community LINC’s Children’s Program provides resilience and nutritional life skills training, as well as mental wellness services and academic advocacy and support. Our goal is to prepare children to live independent and healthy lives. Community LINC also provides Aftercare Services once families are in their permanent homes. This continued support ensures families will maintain their independence. What an incredible Open House this week at Community LINC!

Families, supporters, and community partners came together for an evening of connection, learning, and great food. A special thank you to Mazuma Credit Union for providing and serving a delicious barbecue dinner that helped make the event so welcoming and memorable.

Guests had the opportunity to tour our campus, meet staff, and learn more about how Community LINC helps families experiencing homelessness achieve housing stability and long-term success.

We were also thrilled to share some exciting news. At the conclusion of the evening, we announced that Community Kids, our new childcare center, is now fully licensed and ready to begin accepting children ages 2 to 6! This marks a major milestone for Community LINC and will provide even more support for families as they work toward a brighter future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and celebrated this exciting next chapter with us!

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteer teams from Graceway, Centurions, and Young Men's Service League!

These dedicated groups spent their time preparing apartments for new families moving into our program. From deep cleaning and sanitizing to moving furniture and adding special decorative touches, they helped transform empty apartments into welcoming homes.

Because of your hard work, families arriving at Community LINC can walk through the door and immediately feel cared for, valued, and ready for a fresh start. Thank you for helping us create spaces where families can grow, thrive, and succeed.

Throwback Bingo was totally awesome! From the laughs and retro vibes to the fierce bingo competition, the night was full of fun, community, and big 90s energy. Best of all, together we raised more than $700 to help families stabilize and transition out of experiencing homelessness!
