We need your help!
For the past three months, we have been dealing with a water crisis at our Charles and Lynn Zhang Animal Rescue Center. Addressing the crisis will require a $206,000 investment in a sewer line. The original building at 1616 Construction Dr was purposed as an auto dealership. A modest septic tank and drain field were installed to meet the waste water needs of the business. Enter Animal Rescue Project with its many loads of industrial-size laundry every day.
Water is the lifeblood of our rescue program. In addition to sanitizing dog beds, blankets, and toys, we need water to bathe rescue dogs and puppies. We need water to wash floors and sanitize dog runs. Our waste water consumption has overwhelmed the septic system, and the Health Department has required us to stop doing laundry and bathing. Volunteers have stepped up to do laundry for us, but this is not a sustainable solution.
Charles and Lynn Zhang have graciously stepped forward with a matching gift opportunity. They are willing to donate up to $85,000 if we can find matching funds from other donors.
Please help us get back to full operations by contributing to our sewer fund. No gift will be too small to help.
