To the pediatric nurses who bring skill, compassion, and heart to every child they care for, thank you! At Camp Quality, our Healthcare Team helps make it possible for children impacted by childhood cancer to safely experience the fun, freedom, and friendships of camp. We’re so grateful for the nurses who choose to share their expertise with our campers. 💛

$131,726 for kids with cancer and their families.

We are so proud of our Camp Quality Michigan family, and so grateful to everyone at Boyne Thunder and who made this possible. Every engine that roared and every gift that came in this summer means more kids getting to swim, laugh, and sing around a campfire, with friends who understand. And it is all free for every family.

This is what a community can do. Thank you, Boyne Thunder, for showing up for kids with cancer, and for being part of the Camp Quality family. ❤️

"Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who joined us for Boyne Thunder this summer, Camp Quality Michigan received $131,726 for kids facing cancer and the families who love them.

What does this incredible donation do? It means a child who has spent months in hospital rooms, surrounded by beeping machines and waiting rooms, gets to be a kid again. Swimming, laughing, climbing, singing around a campfire, with friends who understand without needing to ask. It means a brother or sister, who so often gets forgotten when cancer takes over a family, gets to be celebrated, too. It means a mom or dad who hasn't exhaled in months finds a community of parents who truly get it, and a chance to rest knowing their child is safe and supported. And it means every bit of this is free for every family. No bills, no barriers. Just joy, belonging, and hope at 5 different camps in Michigan. Because of our Boyne Thunder supporters, a child who thought cancer took their summer gets it back.

To everyone who revved an engine, made a gift, or cheered from the shore: thank you. You didn't just raise $131K. You gave kids with cancer the magic of summer camp and year- round programs."

National Child Health Day is today and it's a reminder that a child's health is about more than medicine. It's also about joy, friendship and feeling like a kid.

For a child with cancer, that can be hard to find. Treatment fills their days, and their families carry the stress, the cost and the loneliness that come with a diagnosis.

Camp Quality gives children with cancer and their families free, camp experiences and year-round program support. At CQ, children and their families find a community that gets it, and moments of pure fun and hope.

What does it actually mean to be a Camp Quality Companion?💙🎗️

It means being the person who cheers them on when they try something new. The person who tapes a pool noodle to their back and joins in on the ridiculous camp games. The person who listens, laughs, encourages, and helps children with cancer just be kids again at camp. You don't need to be a medical professional or a camp expert, you just need to show up, be yourself, and be ready to make some memories!
