The Will County Sheriff's Police Benevolent Fund is a nonprofit organization chartered by the State of Illinois on December 26, 1972. The purpose of the Benevolent Fund is to provide financial assistance, through disability insurance, to help our officers who are off work due to serious illness or injury that is not duty related. For more than 40 years, we have been able to help several of our members in their times of need. Without the Benevolent Fund, these officers may not have been able to receive the assistance needed to continue to support themselves and their families. Our main fundraising effort each year is our Annual Golf Outing that is held in August. Thanks to the continued support of very generous sponsors and volunteers, we are able to provide a great day of golfing and raise funds to help offset the cost of providing the insurance.
