We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 12:15 PM, at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate,

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Today’s Joliet Rotary Club meeting was filled with fellowship, service, and inspiration as we welcomed Rotary District 6450 Governor Mary Dankowski!

We were honored to present a $1,000 donation to Rotary’s Polio+ Fund in DG Mary’s honor, supporting the global effort to End Polio Now. Governor Dankowski shared her vision for service, growth, and impact across our communities and inspired us to continue making a difference through Rotary.

Congratulations to Rotarian Mike Ritoff, who won today’s 50/50 Split the Pot, benefiting local charities. We also welcomed Michael Santchi, Attorney with Spesia & Taylor - Attorneys At Law, who received his new Red Badge Packet as he begins his Rotary journey.

Rotarian Jane Condon announced that our next New Member Orientation will be held on September 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mansion. All Joliet Rotarians are encouraged to attend.

We were also pleased to hear from District 6450 Governor-Elect Marshall Schmitt, who shared information about Rotary International President Yinka’s Challenge, an initiative focused on building thriving, peaceful communities in Chicago and beyond.

A special highlight of the meeting was President John Spesia presenting laptops, donated by Vista Learning, to recipients of our 2026 Joliet Rotary Scholarships, helping support their educational success.
