🚨💔 SHE’S ONLY FIVE WEEKS OLD. PLEASE HELP US SAVE MEOWIN. 💔🚨
Sometimes rescue breaks your heart. And sometimes, it breaks your heart and your bank account at the same time.
Today, we’re asking you to help us fight for a tiny little girl who hasn’t even had the chance to begin her life. 🐾
Meet Meowin. 🩷
Named by her foster mama Chris’ grandson, Meowin is approximately five weeks old, although she’s so tiny you would never guess it.
Her story began when a kindhearted stranger discovered her alone in someone’s yard. Her mama never returned, despite hours of waiting. Meowin was crying, exhausted, covered in fleas, and desperately in need of someone to help her.
Thankfully, someone did.
She found her way into the care of 4 Stray Paws Rescue and the loving arms of her foster mama Chris, who has been doing everything possible to give this precious little girl a fighting chance.
For a little while, Meowin was doing what kittens are supposed to do. Eating, growing, exploring her tiny world, and being ridiculously adorable. 🥹🐱
But last night, everything changed.
Meowin suddenly became critically ill. Chris suspected her blood sugar had crashed and immediately began trying to stabilize her while reaching out for help.
Despite her efforts, Meowin deteriorated rapidly. She became so weak that she could no longer hold herself upright.
Chris rushed her to the emergency veterinary hospital, terrified that she was taking this precious baby there to say goodbye.
💔 Meowin’s body temperature had dropped to a dangerously low 94 degrees.
The veterinary team immediately began working to stabilize her, providing warmth, oxygen, and supportive care.
And our little fighter?
SHE’S STILL FIGHTING. ❤️🩹
Her temperature has improved, and she’s begun showing some encouraging signs of responsiveness. But she remains extremely fragile, and the veterinary team is working to determine what caused her sudden collapse. Possible causes include a severe parasite burden, panleukopenia, or another serious illness.
Right now, we don’t have all the answers.
What we DO know is that Meowin needs intensive veterinary care, and she needs it NOW.
🏥 Her estimated emergency veterinary bill is $2,400 to $4,500.
For a small, foster-based nonprofit rescue like 4 Stray Paws, that is an enormous and unexpected expense.
But how do you look at this tiny face, this little life that has barely begun, and decide she isn’t worth fighting for?
We can’t. And we won’t. 🩷
So here we are, asking our community to help us do what we cannot do alone.
